An Evening with the Escoda Family - Brush Makers

On Wednesday, August 31st our representatives from Global Art Supplies

joined the Escoda Family - to present a hand made brush demonstration.

IT WAS FANTASTIC!

We started with a movie that told us the history of this

remarkable family of artisans. We also learned about the

factory in Spain and their staff.

Our guest of honor (the Senior) Ricard - in the wings...

  

(Nephew) Ricard gave us so much information about

the brush hair and handle.  We learned about their

exclusive TRIPLE CRIMP on the brush ferrule and

how the different hairs of brushes and their different

shapes - hold water differently.

Working and chatting Ricard was so charming!

This was shaping a flat brush.

We had a large group of very interested and pleased customers

that sat around with our guests and had quite interesting conversation.
